USA – Charlotte-based plastic sheet, rod, tube and film distributor, Piedmont Plastics has announced the acquisition of New Jersey-based company Diversified Display Products.
Founded in 1984, Diversified Display Products is a large stocking distributor of rigid and foamboard substrates, wide-format roll media, and digital large-format printing products, including ink and equipment.
This acquisition marks Piedmont’s first branch location in New Jersey, the second in the New York metropolitan area, and its 53rd branch in North America.
All Diversified Display Products employees will be joining Piedmont Plastics in addition to Dave Rosen, former owner, who will remain on board for several months to assist with the transition.
Commenting on the deal, Tyler Booth, President of Piedmont Plastics said: “Diversified Display Products is a strong strategic fit for Piedmont, and we are eager to continue to build upon the legacy and success that Dave and his team have built over the past almost 40 years.
“Not only do they have a similar go-to-market strategy, but we share many core values and a similar family and customer-oriented culture that we believe will make for a wonderful integration into our business.”
Dave Rosen, Owner of Diversified Display Products added: “We are thrilled to be joining the Piedmont Plastics family.
“We have a great team in New Jersey, and I know that they will continue to serve our customers with the same exceptional products, service, and support, now with the additional resources and capabilities that Piedmont has to offer.”
Operating from over 50 branch locations throughout North America, Piedmont provides the highest quality of service available in the industry.
Meanwhile, in July last year, Piedmont Plastics acquired Plastics Plus Ltd., a plastics distributor headquartered in Edmonton in a move that expanded its presence in Western Canada.
In an official press release, Piedmont officials said they planned to move the Plastics Plus team to a new location in the Edmonton area, which will serve as Piedmont’s 53rd branch location in North America and the sixth in Canada.
Tyler Booth at the time said: “Expanding our presence in Western Canada will allow us to strategically grow our footprint in the region while strengthening our relationships with our valued customer base.”
