AUSTRIA – Multinational packaging company, Greiner Packaging has appointed Beatrix Praeceptor as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1.
Beatrix succeeds Manfred Stanek, who will move to the Greiner AG Management Board on January 1, 2023 and will continue to hold a dual role until Praeceptor joins.
Axel Kühner, CEO of Greiner AG said: “We are incredibly pleased that we were able to win Beatrix Praeceptor as division manager.
“We see a high level of correspondence between her personal values and our corporate values. Among other things, she convinced us with her cooperative management philosophy, her high-performance orientation and her creative drive.”
Commenting on her appointment, Beatrix said: “I am very happy about the trust placed in me and the new challenge from May next year.
“Greiner’s value structure inspired me right from the start and is very much in line with my understanding of leadership.
“My goal is to continue the international success of this family company and to position Greiner Packaging even more strongly as a global player on the world market.”
Beatrix currently serves as Chief Procurement Officer at Mondi Group and brings both international industry knowledge and leadership experience with a strong focus on sustainability.
In this position, she and an international team are responsible for cost optimization of the purchasing volume, the sustainable development of over 18,000 suppliers and the implementation of supplier-specific sustainability goals.
Before Mondi, she held senior supply chain positions at Lafarge SA and Philips Industries.
For many years she has been personally committed to an inclusive work environment and more diversity in companies.
She was a mentor at Teach For Austria and has been involved with the organizations WoMentoring and TheFemaleFactor since 2016, which are committed to supporting (young) women.
Joining Greiner Packaging’s management, she is expected to continue scaling the company’s operations across Europe and globally.
In September, the company acquired Serbia-based producer of PET flakes Alwag, broadening its business portfolio and adding the first recycling company to the group.
The acquisition of Alwag is a direct reflection of Greiner Packaging’s exhaustive efforts to boost sustainability.
In purchasing the PET flake producer, Greiner Packaging is pushing ahead with the expansion drive it has embarked on in recent years as well as resolutely pursuing its extensive circular economy goals.
In addition, the Alwag takeover means Greiner Packaging now has three locations in Serbia: one recycling company and two manufacturing bases.
